A Comment from Carolyn. . .

Blazingly. . .this is going to be a tough one today.  As I write this, the cloudy skies are a dreary gray, three of our dogs woke me up at 6:45 a.m. when I was hoping to sleep in this morning, I couldn’t sit in my usual chair to drink my partial cup of coffee (I’m on a mission to gradually withdraw from my caffeine addiction) because there was dog hair on the chair, and our two little dogs are in the backyard trying to dig out a rabbit from underneath the shed which means I’ll have to wash muddy dogs soon.

Geez, how I can incorporate today’s LiveLifeLike word into my life today?  And if I can’t do it, then how can I expect anyone else to ever benefit from these affirmations?

Okay, here goes.

We are All One.  Uh huh, sure.  Why don’t we act that way?  Why is there so much bickering and fighting in the world?  Why are we doing this to each other?  Why are we doing this to ourselves? 

When we reach the point of truly knowing that We Are All One (as so many prophets, past and present, have been and are reminding us), then we really will live our lives shining brightly, resplendently. . .blazingly!

Yes, today I will do my best to remember that every person I come in contact with is a part of the big ME and I look forward to the moment when we are all Blazing with Greatness!

There is so much noise in our world!!  Have you noticed that?  Or have you become so accustomed to it that it is background chatter you don’t even hear?

We NEED silence in our lives.  We NEED to stop the constant voices in our head incessantly pestering us with fleeting thoughts about this and that and the other thing.  We NEED to quiet our minds and focus on the calmness of our breathing. 

Find some time in your busy life to intently listen to the hush of Divine Silence.  Maybe your special time will be early in the morning before the kids get out of bed. . .or late at night when the house has quieted down. . .or at your lunch break while sitting in your car.  Whenever you can, MAKE time to meditate in silence.  Even 5 minutes a day is a great start.  Once you begin to appreciate silence, you will NEED more and more of it every day.

Today, I embrace the serenity of silence and live my life quietly!

A Comment from Carolyn. . .

The definition of today’s word, delicately, resonates within me via the aspects of sensitivity and discrimination.

I work in the customer service field and to perform my job to the highest standards I place on myself, I must be very sensitive to the customer’s needs.  Much of my correspondence is by email and, unfortunately, the tone of an email is somewhat difficult to convey.  To overcome this possible confusion, I express thanks and delicately write positive comments. 

The word discrimination has taken on a very negative connotation lately but it also means “the ability to appreciate good quality or taste” and “the ability to notice subtle differences.”  I discriminate in my work by appreciating the goodness and subtle differences of the people with whom I correspond. 

There are many subtle and not-so-subtle differences defining all of us but deep, deep down in our emotional hearts, we are all the same and only want what is best for Humanity.  I truly believe that. . .and I vow to be delicate today. . .being sensitive to the needs of others.

Perfection. . . .Many of us spend every moment of our lives working towards it.  But the reality is, we are already perfect.  We are perfect in the eyes of God, Elohim, Jehovah, Mother Earth, Vishnu, Yahweh, Allah, the Universe, El Cantare. . .the list goes on and on. 

However you name the God of your beliefs, He/She believes in your perfection.  We should all do the same!

Remember your divine perfection throughout your day.  If something doesn’t happen as you hoped it would, take another look at it and see the perfection in it.  Everything happens for a good reason.  We may not understand the reason at the time, but acknowledging that everything is Perfect in the Divine Scheme of things takes a lot of pressure off of us!

Live your life Perfectly today!

The beautiful flower in this photo is Euphorbia and in the Language of Flowers, it means persistence.  According to Wikipedia, Euphorbia is one of the most diverse genera in the entire plant kingdom.  That sounds pretty persistent to me!

The quality of persistence can be both helpful and harmful in life.  Sometimes, persistence is looked upon as blind stubbornness.  I guess it depends on the issue and which side you’re on!

During my day, I have many things vying for my attention.  Will I complete the work that I know needs to be done?  Or will I put off my duties and ignore them? 

I promise to be persistent today, working steadfastly and tenaciously to accomplish my goals!
