Isn’t that what we do in relationships? Each two-person bond can promote a favorable result, being advantageous to each other. . .beneficial. A girlfriend bond provides companionship and friendship. A bond between two teenage boys promotes a favorable result via camaraderie in common situations. A husband/wife bond provides friendship with benefits!
