Dandelions are just one of many flowering plants that are very skillful at producing windborne seeds. Many of us know that first hand! In the spring, our yard is usually filled with hundreds of perky yellow dandelion flowers. They are a welcome sight until they go to seed. I’m sure our neighbors don’t appreciate when the wind blows seeds on their yard!
Over eons of time, flora and fauna have had to adapt very inventively in order to survive on this planet. Without adjusting to changes in living conditions, many plants and animals would become extinct, and far too many already have.
Perhaps without realizing it, we also adapt to changes in our environment. When you were a young student in school and knew where the bully sat in the lunchroom, you probably adapted by sitting as far from him as possible. How else have you used your imagination and ingenuity to create a more favorable environment in your life?
Ponder on that thought, and today. . .live your life like a dandelion. . .inventively!
