“Busy as a bee.” Whoever coined that phrase didn’t have to spend too much time watching bees. Bees appear to us as some of the busiest creatures around. They have to be in order to collect enough nectar to supply their needs.
Many other creatures are probably just as busy but we wouldn’t normally see them. How about earthworms? There must be thousands of them in one small patch of ground actively engaged in digesting what their bodies require for sustenance.
Some days I am busier than others. I work Monday through Friday, so I try to slow down and relax on weekends. Many of us have the same schedule. But maybe on weekends you’re still busy because you’re occupied in grocery shopping, laundry, house cleaning, mowing the grass, fixing your child’s bike, washing the windows, etc. Sometimes our “to do” lists become overwhelming!
Today, whatever day of the week it is, become fully engrossed in whatever project you’re working on and live your life like a bee. . .busily!
