I think any pet that is cared for with love and compassion feels enraptured about her caregiver. That’s one of the many benefits of having pets in one’s life. Dogs and cats give us undying Love for such a small amount of care and attention from us. Having a pet is one of the best investments you can make. Pets calm our anxieties, teach us how to appreciate living in the “now” moment, honor us with their love, and ask for so little in return.
Isn’t that a great way to approach life? Perhaps we should follow their example. The next time you’re irritated by an interruption from your child, stop for a moment, take a deep breath, remember how much your child loves you and you love her, honor that emotion, then. . .live your life like a cat. . .enrapturedly!
